Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a physiotherapy session take?

A typical session takes approximately 15–20 minutes per service, although the exact duration may vary depending on the treatment and patient requirements. The therapist will confirm the final timing after booking.

K
L
Do I need to arrange equipment for home physiotherapy?

No specialised physiotherapy equipment needs to be arranged by you. Our visiting physiotherapist will bring the portable equipment required for the booked treatment.

We recommend keeping a comfortable, well-lit and quiet space available for the session. For home physiotherapy appointments, an adult family member/ responsible adult should be present during the service to assist where necessary and help ensure a safe environment for both the patient and physiotherapist. Patients may be asked to remove jewellery or other items that could interfere with the treatment being provided.

K

What happens during my first home physiotherapy visit?

The physiotherapist may review factors such as your posture, range of motion, muscle strength and pain levels. They will also review the prescription provided by your licensed medical practitioner and deliver the booked treatment accordingly.

K

When can I begin physiotherapy after surgery?

The appropriate time to begin post-operative physiotherapy depends on the procedure performed, your condition and your surgeon's instructions.

Is home physiotherapy suitable for elderly patients or people with limited mobility?

Home physiotherapy can be particularly convenient for patients who have difficulty travelling because of age, reduced mobility or recovery from illness or surgery.
